Cairn Croft is a 2 ½ acre private garden located
in the Boston suburb of Dover, Massachusetts. The garden was designed
and built over a period of 24 years by Kevin Doyle, landscape
designer. It is also the home of Kevin Doyle and Michael Radoslovich
who share a love of the garden and art in natural settings
.
The grounds of Cairn Croft contain a variety of natural
features that became individual garden rooms. There is open lawn,
wild, pathed woodland, a pond, wetland, a drumlin topped with
a house, a formal parterre, and driveway courtyard. All these
settings are wonderful for the placement of sculpture.
The idea of sculpture in the garden was an evolution of objects
in the garden as a complement to the natural surroundings. Sculptural
works that are exciting, inspiring, soothing and challenging became
a significant attribute of the garden. Kevin and Michael have
shared the garden at Cairn Croft with garden and plant
lovers for many years and more recently have extended it to include
those interested in art for outdoors.
Cairn Croft is a private home and garden and may be visited
by appointment and on open days.
